IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Errid R.
Hicks
September 28, 1979 – July 24, 2019
Errid R. Hicks was born September 28, 1979, in Bryn Mawr, PA, to Anthony and Dereth Hicks.
He was raised with his parents and younger brother Kyle in West Chester PA. Errid was the consummate big brother and enjoyed the years he shared with Kyle.
As a youth, Errid was very active playing the cello in the school orchestra, participating in Travel Team Soccer, Wrestling, Football, Tournament Tennis and enjoying skiing.
After graduating from Henderson High School, Errid attended Florida A & M for Business Management. After college Errid returned to West Chester with his life-long friend, Chaya Scott and they began their family with the birth of their daughter, Ayan in 2001 and later their son Rebraun was born in 2003. As time passed Errid moved to Nevada where he met and married Yvonne Rainey. They worked tirelessly operating their restaurant business for a few years until finally deciding to let it go. Errid moved on to work in advertising where he also engaged in different entrepreneurial endeavors. He had a passion for overall wellness, reading and philosophy.
Although Errid transitioned to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 24, 2019, his Love for God and caring spirit will continue to be deeply felt, just as he touched the lives of many people throughout the course of his life. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Mattie Hicks (the love of his heart) and Charles Hicks, as well as his maternal grandmother, E. June Sears and his maternal uncle, Keith Sears. Besides his two children, he is survived by both his parents, his maternal grandfather, Kenneth Sears; his beloved cousin, Glen Phillips; stepmother, Alesia and stepbrother, Aaron as well as a host of loving family and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2 PM on Friday, August 9, 2019 at Second Baptist Worship Center, 857 Lumber Street, Coatesville, PA.
