Eric Robert Alston, 57, of Lancaster PA, departed this life peacefully March 27, 2017 at home.  Born in Coatesville March 20, 1960, he was the son of Willie L. Alston, Sr. and the late S. Romaine Alston.

He attended the Coatesville Area Public Schools graduating from Coatesville Area Senior High School in  1978.   While in high school, Eric was athletic. He ran track for Scott High School and also at CASH.

Eric was a bricklayer and he had been an apprentice under the local #54 Bricklayers Union. He also did construction work with various companies. He loved watching wrestling, gardening, watching movies and listening to music.

In addition to his father, he is survived by one son, Denzel Nichols of Columbia; his devoted friend Laurie Nichols of Columbia; his siblings:  Isaac Alston (Vicky), Willie F. Alston, David Alston (Bonnie) all of Coatesville, Sara Alston-Edwards of Modena and Gloria Alston-Anthony (Frankie) of Coatesville; 1 grandson; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

In addition to his mother, Eric was preceded in death by one sister, Karen M. Alston.

Services will be held 10 am Saturday, April 1, 2017 at Tabernacle Baptist Church, 819 Coates Street, Coatesville. A viewing will be held at the church from 8 am - 9:45 am.

Interment will be in Mellinger's Mennonite Cemetery, Lancaster.
