Elizabeth A. "Pudd'n" Smith, 59, of Coatesville, PA passed away suddenly, Wednesday, January 1, 2020 at her residence.
Born in Coatesville, PA, Elizabeth was affectionately known as "Pudd'n". Though her biological parents were the late James "JC" Forney and Violet Craig, she was lovingly raised from birth by the late Ola and Spencer E. Smith whom she called mom and dad.
Pudd'n was educated in the Coatesville Area Public School system. She was a 1978 graduate of Coatesville Area Senior High School. She enrolled in Cosmetology School and worked in the hair care industry for many years.
Everyone who knows Pudd'n can say that she was a die-hard Philadelphia Eagles fan. She enjoyed listening to music, especially TI, Joe, and Teena Marie. She was a talented beautician, who had a passion for doing hair. She also enjoyed spending time with her children, coloring, crossword puzzles and cooking. She had a big heart and enjoyed running errands for people.
She will be greatly remembered by her daughters, Olesha Griffy of Philadelphia, Jonnice Griffy (Joelle Washington) of Coatesville; sons, John Griffy (Kia) of Columbia, PA, Robert Smith of Coatesville; sisters, Benita Price (Clyde "Buddy") of Charleston, WV, Anna Archie of Coatesville; brothers, Earl Craig (Suprina), and William Craig both of Indianapolis, IN, Curtis McCain of Wyoming, DE; 8 grandchildren; special Goddaughter, Claudette Ross-Craig of Coatesville; beloved uncle, Nate R. Bookman, Sr. of Coatesville and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
Though she is gone she will never be forgotten. We will cherish her memory in our hearts.
Services will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, January 11, 2020, at New Life In Christ Fellowship, 1 South Fifth Avenue in Coatesville.
Interment will be held privately.
Condolences may be shared at the guestbook link on this memorial page. Flowers may be sent to the church on the day of the service. The flower theme colors are orange and white.
