Edith Viola Parker, 90, of Parkesburg, passed away Monday, April 13 at the Chester County Hospital, West Chester.
Born in New Orleans, she was the daughter of the late Albert Charles & Viola Hawks and the wife of the late James A. Parker.
Edith was a former high school teacher both in New Orleans and in Philadelphia.
She is survived by son, Renè Daryl (Beverly) Parker of Parkesburg; two daughters, Jamelle (Paul) King of Philadelphia, Carla (Anthony) Bowman of Long Beach, CA; sister, Athens Jackson of Washington, DC; 8 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
Services will be held 11 am, Monday, April 20, 2015 at the Episcopal Church of the Trinity, 323 E. Lincoln Highway, Coatesville. Viewing will be from 9-10:45 am.
