On Thursday, December 28, 2023, Earl Watson, Sr., of West Whiteland township in West Chester, PA, passed away at his residence. He was 78 years old.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late John Watson and Viola (Voltz) Watson. He was the husband of Jackie (Woolfrey) Watson.

As a kid, he loved spending time on his uncle's farm in Maryland. He would ride his beloved horse Trigger, which he cherished dearly. As a teenager, he enjoyed cruising around with his friends in his '57 Chevy and dancing at sock hops.

Earl was a hardworking man, owning his own business for many years. He specialized in building fences and decks and laying brick paver patios and driveways. He loved being able to operate heavy machinery on construction sites. When he wasn't working, he loved watching and going to Penn State football games. He was a true fan and loved the excitement that came along with it.

In his free time, Earl was an avid movie watcher, particularly Western movies. He was a huge fan of John Wayne and enjoyed watching his movies. He loved hot rods and classic cars from the 1950s, but he was a Chevy guy at heart, having a special place in his heart for Corvettes. He also loved listening to oldies and country western music.

One of Earl's biggest joys in life was spending time with his grandkids. He loved spoiling them with lots of candy and donuts. Earl was a United States Army veteran.

He will be deeply missed by his family including his wife Jackie of 42 years; daughters, Elizabeth and Mimi; grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Earl Watson will be missed by all who knew him. His legacy of hard work, passion, and love for his family will be remembered forever.

He will be interred at Grove Methodist Cemetery, West Chester, PA.
