Douglas Cornell Williams, "Ali Khan" of Coatesville, PA, passed away on Thursday, January 18, 2024, at the King of Prussia Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in King of Prussia, PA. He was 77 years old.

Douglas was born in Coatesville, PA in August of 1946, the son of the late Jean (Pugh) Williams and James William, Sr. He was the husband of LaVerne Tilghman-Williams.

After completing high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy until receiving his honorable discharge.

As a youth, he attended Second Baptist Church in Coatesville. Later on in life he attended the Ar-Rahman masjid in Coatesville. Douglas worked as a burner for Lukens Steel Company.

In addition to his wife, LaVerne, he is survived by children; Unique Diamond Williams, Sundae Ray, Michael Tilghman, Hakeem Barr, and Nioka Key-Watson; brothers, Rev. James Williams, Jr, (wife Delores) of Thorndale, Anthony Williams of Coatesville, and Charlie Williams (wife Vandora) of Maryland; sisters, Olivia Newsuan of Coatesville, Carol Horsey (husband Robert) of Downingtown, and Michelle Butler (husband Michael) of Parkesburg; two grandchildren, Andre Kadrice Morgan and Tatiana Johnson, as well as nieces, nephews, and cousins, and in-laws.

The ceremonial ghusl (washing and shrouding of the body) will take place 10:00 AM on Monday, January 22, 2024, at Wright Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc., 725 Merchant St., Coatesville, PA 19320. The Salat al-Janazah funeral prayer will be held 1:30 PM. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Coatesville, PA.
