Dorothy Mae Boddy White was born in Avondale, Pennsylvania. She was the second of three children born to late Malcom Boddy and Ida Lee Boddy.

Dorothy was a resident of Kennett Square, Pennsylvania and was sometimes known as "Dot" by her family and friends.

She received her early education in the Avon Grove School District. She had been employed at NVF in Kennett Square for 18 years.

Dorothy passed away July 28, 2012 at the Chester County Hospital. She was preceded in death by her only son, Larry White, who passed away in July 2011.

She enjoyed traveling and talking with friends.

Dorothy is survived by a sister, Marian London of Landenberg, a brother, Charles Boddy of Wilmington, her companion of 15 years George Kirk, nieces, nephews and friends
