Dorothy Irene Lawson, of New Castle, Delaware, was called home to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 12, 2023.  Wife of the late Charles H. Lawson, Jr., she was born November 2, 1938, to the late William Clark and Martha Cheavers Clark. She was 85 years old.

Dorothy attended the West Chester Area School District, and she worked at Wyeth Laboratories for 30 years.  She was a people person who loved to help anyone and everyone young or old.  She called all the kids that were in and out of her house her babies no matter how old they got she always called them her babies.

She was a member of and attended services at Rice's Temple and Cornerstone Christian Fellowship, in West Chester, PA.

Dorothy leaves many to cherish her memory including her three children; Ronald  E. Lawson of Delaware, Susan M. King (Clarence) of Delaware, and Sharon L. Lawson of Allentown; her grandchildren whom she loved like her own; Jarrod Lawson of Allentown, Ron Lawson, Jr. of Delaware, Loavel R. Summerville of Philadelphia, Charles W. Lawson, Jr. of Maryland, Phallon Romano (David) of Abington, PA, Kellie Lawson of Drexel Hill, PA, Tamika Savoy (Jamar) of Ridley Park, PA, and Shamika and her husband Eric of Delaware; as well as her great-grandchildren, in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Charles H. Lawson, Jr; son, Charles W. Lawson, Sr.; grandson, Noah Summerville and special friend, Marcy Anderson whom she loved like her own.

She was loved and treasured by many and will be dearly missed.

The family is having a memorial service in remembrance of Dorothy at 12:00 PM on Saturday, November 18, 2023, at Cornerstone Christian Fellowship Church, 426 W. Gay St., West Chester, PA, 19380.
