Doriasteen Gilliam, 79, of Coatesville passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at the Neighborhood Hospice Unit in West Chester.

Born in Union, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Irene Hill.

She was the beloved wife the late John A. Gilliam, Sr., with whom he shared 61 years of marriage.

Her enjoyments were her family, playing games and spending time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

She is survived by nine children, sons, Kenneth (Linda) Gilliam of Philadelphia, Reginald (Lucy) Gilliam of Pittsburg, Demetrius Gilliam and Bernard Gilliam, Melvin (Rashida) Gilliam all of Coatesville, Clark (Leslie) Gilliam of Atglen; daughters, Valerie G. Campbell, Michelle Gilliam and Gigi Gilliam all of Coatesville; Godson, Anthony (Christine) Dingle of Conyers, Georgia; daughter-in-law Janelle Gilliam of Lancaster;  21 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, I great-great grandchild and a host of extended family and friends.

In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by one son, John Gilliam, Jr.
