Diane Gillie, 78, of Coatesville, PA passed away after a brief illness on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at her home surrounded by her family.

Born in West Chester, PA, she was the daughter of the late Charles Hicks and Willie Easter Wilkerson. She was the wife of the late Dwight Gillie with whom she shared 36 years of marriage.

Diane was affectionately known as "Lady Di" or "Fish" by her family and friends. She grew up in Downingtown and graduated from Downingtown High School in 1965. She went on to build a dedicated career as a Cookie Supervisor at Pepperidge Farm, where she worked from 1977 until her retirement in 2010.

Diane was a natural hostess who loved to bring people together. Known for her flair for decorating and her knack for hosting unforgettable parties, she created spaces that were as warm and inviting as her personality. Diane was a Sharp dresser down to her accessories!  She took pride in her appearance. She loved shopping and being with her beloved grandchildren who were the light of her life,

Diane's loving nature and kindness will forever remain in the generations of her legacy.

She leaves precious memories to her daughters, Tonya Wilkerson, Tambra Brown (Marvin), and Twaddell Day (Jerry) all of Coatesville, Trasena Gillie (Ian) of Downingtown; bonus daughters, Latoya StJohn and Darlene Goines of Thorndale ; siblings, Brenda Holland of Bowie Maryland, Byron Hicks, (Cheryl) of Philadelphia, Anthony "Rennie" Hicks (Alisha) of Lancaster, Charmaine Hicks of Las Vegas, NV; aunt, Janet Christie of Exton; special cousins, Tish and Cila "The Twins" and Lewis "Bum" Wilkerson; close friends, Priscilla Jones,  June Elliot, Ann Runner;11 grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Dwight Mathea Wilkerson; sisters, Beulah Jones, Valerie Wilkerson; a bonus grandson and a close friend, Bonnie Dalton.

Homegoing Services will be held at 10 AM, on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at Second Baptist Worship Center, 857 Lumber Street, Coatesville PA. A viewing will be held from 8:00 AM until 9:45 AM.

Interment will be held in Rolling Green Memorial Park, in West Chester, PA.
