Daryl Anthony Perry, Jr. was brought forth in praise on July 24, 2002, at the Chester County Hospital. He was the baby boy of Yvonne E. Smith Perry and Pastor Daryl Perry, Sr.
Raised in Coatesville, Pennsylvania, Daryl attended the Coatesville Area public schools. He was known for his skillful athletic abilities. He excelled in football, track, lacrosse and baseball. He was a valuable member of the International Baseball team and the Coatesville High School Red Raiders football team. He enjoyed playing video games, listening to music and being there for his family, teammates and friends.
After graduating from Coatesville Area Senior High School in 2020, Daryl matriculated to Lincoln University where he aspired to play football with the Blue Tigers.
Daryl departed this life suddenly, at 2:06 pm May 30th at the Paoli Hospital. Even in death, he was able to save the lives of five (5) individuals, through the Gift of Life program.
Though each memory comes with grief and heartache, with the grief there is a rush of love.
Even though Daryl is gone, the warmth from love continues to glow in the lives he touched including his 3-month-old son, Roman Anthony Perry, Roman's mother, Taylor Mascherino; his father, Pastor Daryl Perry, Sr. and mother, Yvonne Perry; brothers: Idris Grove, Tyrone Reyes, Benjamin Bowman, Darrell Woodward; sisters: Darla Hines, Shameka Brown, Marzah Lackey; grandfathers, Marvin Locklin, Elwood Darnell; nieces: Liliana, Trinity, A-million, De-Aja, Syniyah, Ty-Lia, Darion, Bree, McKensie and nephews: Zymere, Francisco, Jabari, Chandler, Rashad; uncles, Barry Perry, Michael Locklin; aunts: Crystal Locklin, Lynette Small, Caletha Small, Kristin Durnell, Desiree Green; Cousin-brother, Josiah Small; Godmother, Crystal Depte; great aunts, extended family, teammates, coaches and an entire community of friends who have been devastated and heartbroken by his sudden passing.
Daryl is predeceased by his God-father, James Depte; maternal grandmother, Judith Locklin; paternal grandparents, Frank Small and Joanne Small.
A viewing will be held from 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM, on Wednesday, June 9, 2021, at the Second Baptist Worship Center, 857 Lumber Street, Coatesville, PA 19320.
Interment will be held at New Evergreen Cemetery
Friends and family are invited to share condolences and reflections on the online guestbook. Condolences from churches and organizations can be emailed to the funeral home by 2 pm Tuesday, June 8.
Flowers may be sent to the church on the day of the service. Daryl was a "Coatesville" guy through and through!! The theme colors are red, black and white.
