Darnell Rodrick Hunter, 54, of Baltimore, MD, formerly of Coatesville, Pa, passed away unexpectantly on Friday, June 24, 2022, in Baltimore, MD.

Born in Coatesville, he was the son of the late Donald Ray Hunter and Sharon Jane Gist Hunter. Darnell received his education in the Coatesville Area public schools and was a graduate of Coatesville Area Senior High School, class of 1986. During his time there he became a member of the ROTC. After graduating high school, he attended Alamance Community College in Graham, North Carolina.  He was a man of many trades but he specialized in welding. He was a welder instructor at Lincoln Tech Institute in Baltimore, MD. He had a passion for sharing his knowledge with those willing to learn.

Darnell loved soccer, music, movies and traveling. He always had a smile no matter the situation. Most of all he loved his family and his dog biscuit, they were inseparable.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his niece, Quazhae N. Nunn; grandmother, Amelea Hunter, grandfathers, Joseph Hunter and James Gist, great grandmother, Mary Fluit and uncle, Rodger Johnson Sr.

Darnell is survived by his beloved daughter, Brianna L. Green of Utica, NY; grandson, Armon D. Thomas; grandmother, Dorothy Harrell of Coatesville, PA; sisters, Angel D. Hunter of Lancaster, PA, Donnette S. Hunter of Philadelphia, PA; great uncle, James Johnson of Lincoln Delaware; uncles, Reginald Harrell and Ronald Harrell of Pottstown, PA, Anthony Hunter of Lancaster PA; aunts, Sandra Pigford of Lancaster, PA, Patricia Rudolph of Lancaster PA, Viola Johnson of Coatesville and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, July 6, 2022, at Wright Funeral & Cremation Services, 725 Merchant Street, Coatesville, PA. A viewing will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
