IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Danielle Marie
(Keating) Nyce
June 12, 1972 – March 28, 2022
Danielle Marie Keating Nyce entered into rest on Monday, March 28, 2022, at 49 years of age.
She was born June 12, 1972, to William and Patricia Keating in Jersey City, NJ. She was the wife of Jeff Nyce.
A beacon of love, she dedicated her life to teaching youth at Chichester Middle School in Boothwyn, PA, after graduating with honors from Drexel University with a Master's Degree in Education.
An adventurous spirit with a yearning to explore, Danielle would lead neighborhood kids on endless summer expeditions through Delran, NJ. As an adult, the adventures continued as she traveled the world eating tapas in Spain to exploring the beaches of Thailand, and finding her anchor in Pennsylvania with her husband and children. As a parent the explorer in her guided her family on weekend hikes through the wooded Pennsylvania trails, discovering waterfalls in Vermont or kayaking through the salty marshes of Cape May, NJ. She was a dedicated mother and wife who managed to work full time and raise a family she deeply loved.
Danielle was a lover of supernatural fiction from Anne Rice novels to Stephen King thrillers. She found inspiration in Rumi poetry and sprinkled goodness wherever she wandered by designing and hiding Kindness Rocks to uplift and inspire those lucky enough to stumble upon them. She collected thousands of bottle tabs in order to raise money for the Ronald McDonald House. And during a time period when the world was put on pause, at the beginning of the pandemic, Danielle's will to uplift others continued as she spent her days by the fire knitting hats for preemies at her local hospital. She always maintained her compassion and kindness throughout her life even as she courageously battled stage 4 cancer.
She is survived by her loving family; husband, Jeff Nyce; son, Alexander; daughters, Hayley, Deana, and Madison; her mother, Patricia Keating Johnson; and siblings Nicole Keating (Victor Sima), William Keating IV (Theresa Gonzalez), Joseph Keating (Marcia Quezada) Benjamin Keating (Kristi Besgrove); niece Rosalina, and nephews Rocco, Gabriel, Christian, Charlie and Santiago.
As we mourn this great loss we are reminded of the last Rumi quote Danielle shared, "Love is the whole thing we are only pieces." - Rumi
