Daniel Jamal Gray "Dan"

Daniel Jamal Gray resided in Springfield, Ohio with his girlfriend Lynn Charles. He grew up in Phoenixville, PA, where suddenly, his life was taken away on November 8, 2024.  He was 22 years old.

Dan, as he was affectionately called by his family and friends, was born in Phoenixville to his birth parents Angela McMorris and Joseph Grable, and raised by Angela McMorris (Charles Mitchell, Sr).

He was a graduate of Phoenixville High School, class of 2021. During his high school years, he was an avid football player and wrestler, earning the respect of his teammates and coaches with his dedication and sportsmanship. Dan was a die-hard Pittsburg Steelers fan.

He had ambition for life and knew exactly what he wanted. He was a lover of Marvel movies, known for his excitement during each new release, and a fan of anime specifically "One Piece", which brought him countless hours of enjoyment. His taste in music was eclectic, with a particular fondness for rap music.

Most of all Dan, was a true entrepreneur at heart. He was ambitiously building his own shipping business as a truck driver. His work ethic and determination were admired by all who knew him.

Dan will be deeply missed by his mother, Angela C. McMorris (Charles Mitchell, Sr); siblings, Nathaniel Hooks, Dominick Hooks, Destiny Hooks, Desiré Gray, James McMorris III, Miracle McMorris; maternal grandfather, Edward Clark, Sr.; girlfriend, Lynn Charles; Nieces and Nephews Jaslynn Perez, Jacob Perez, Jiselle Perez, God Son Dominick Hooks Jr, Justina Perez; Cousin Brothers, Edward Clark III, Zhair Hall, Tyrone Trowery Jr, along with a host of other cousins that adore him; best friends like brothers, Joshua Vicent, Niles Vicent, Dakota Wilkerson, Tyreke Cornish, and Earl Robertson, as well as a host of uncles and aunts, along with other relatives and friends that he loved and was loved by.

A funeral ceremony will be held at 1:00 PM, on Monday, November 18, 2024, at Wright Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc., 725 Merchant Street, Coatesville, PA 19320. A viewing will be held from 11:00 AM until the start of the service.
