IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Dametrius
Mcclain-Jackson
April 15, 2003 – August 23, 2023
Dametrius McClain-Jackson , affectionately known as Meechie , passed away suddenly on August 23, 2023, at the young age of 20. He was born on April 15, 2003, in Coatesville, PA to Tara McClain and Dametrius Jennings.
Meechie was a bright, kind-hearted, and hard-working individual who left a positive impact on everyone he met.
Meechie had a passion for football and played the sport throughout his life. He started playing in Coatesville Midget Football and continued playing through high school and college. His favorite positions were running back and quarterback. He was a remarkable athlete and star football player receiving awards for his athletic abilities. He graduated from the Coatesville Area High School in 2021. He was a proud member of the Lycoming College football team at the time of his passing. His jersey number was 3, which he wore with pride.
Meechie was a dedicated worker at Mainline Health and volunteered at the Coatesville YWCA.
He loved going to the beach in Ocean City, Maryland, where he could relax, have fun with his friends and family, and soak up the sun. He also enjoyed being outdoors, working out in the gym and enjoyed taking care of his body. His favorite pastime was taking care of his silver Camry with a black roof, which he cherished and took great pride in.
Meechie was a loyal and dedicated friend to those around him. He had a heart of gold and would go without to ensure others had what they needed. He was not a picky eater, loved pizza, anything on a barbecue grill, and even Brussels sprouts. Meechie was loved by all and will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
He leaves precious memories to his mother, Tara McClain; father, Dametrius Jennings; sisters, Samaria Turner, Diecembere McClain Jackson, Lyamoni Jones, Najhae Jones all of Coatesville; brothers, Taron McClain, Avionne Jones, all of Coatesville; aunts, Tiara Washington, Paula Washington, Destiny McClain, Carmella Jennings, Tina McClain; uncles, Roy H. McClain, Charles Anderson (Jennifer), Gary L. McClain, Derrick E. McClain; step-dad, Leon Jones; maternal grandmother, Dionne McClain; maternal great grandmother, Elaine McClain; paternal grandmother, Colleen Jennings, paternal grandfather, Daryl Jackson, and a host of nieces, nephews, great aunts, great uncles, cousins, and friends.
