Claudia M. Miles, 82 of Coatesville passed away peacefully on January 11, 2015 at the Brandywine Hospital. She was the wife of the late Arlester Miles with whom she shared 46 years of marriage. She was born in Pageland, S.C. to the late Minnie (Miller) and Claude Blakeney. Claudia is survived by her children, Donnie, Jim, Arlester Jr., Fred, Claudette Pennington (Kevin), Vincent (Bridgette), Gloria, Kevin (Melissa), Eric (Schenay), Willie, Linda Miles-Eubanks (Che) and Donnie Clark. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arlester and son, Roger Myers. She is also survived by sisters, Shirley Adams, Peggie Baker, Terry Blakeney and Letha Evans (preceded in death by Lanzy Moore) and brothers, Charles, Tommie Lee, Ray, Leonard, and Sam Blakeney. Claudia was an outstanding basketball player, vocalist, and musician. She was also a devoted member of the Bell Chapel True Holiness Church of God where she was awarded her ministerial license in 1984. In addition to ministry, she had served as a missionary, pianist, and soloist for the church. She was an advocate for holy living, youth involvement in church, and she served as a community mother for many. She worked with special needs children, domestic roles, and as a nurse's assistant. She also leaves to memory, cherished friendships to Dorothy Bell Conaway, Ernestine Mazzi, Janie Gibbs, Mary Shelton, Cordelia Bowman, Violet Anthony, and numerous others. Services will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at the Bell Chapel True Holiness Church of God, 132 Modena Road, South Coatesville. The viewing will be held from 8 am to 10 am, and services will immediately follow at 10 am. Interment will be at the Philadelphia Memorial Park, Frazer, PA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Bell Chapel True Holiness Church of God's Youth Dept.
