"Wink" Winkey
June 18, 1960 – December 16, 2023
Charles Mark Winkey, of Coatesville, Pennsylvania, passed away early Saturday morning, December 16, 2023, at his home. Charles was 63 years old.
Born in Coatesville, PA, he was the son of the Late David Alexander Winkey Sr. and Ruth Thelma Winkey. He was known to his family and friends as "Wink." Charles was married to his wife and best friend, Teresa Marie Winkey, for 41 years.
Charles graduated from Coatesville Area Senior High School in 1978 and was in the Coatesville Area Senior High Marching Band and played the Tuba. Right after high school Charles successfully completed Automotive Training.
Charles was a man full of wisdom and loved Jehovah, he was energetic, full of fun, and enjoyed spending time with his wife and children. He enjoyed taking family trips and playing his trumpet and trombone (which he taught himself). He was an avid reader, who enjoyed cooking, eating with his wife and children, and loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His favorite family vacation spots included Wildwood, Florida each year as well as other adventure spots. Charles was a great painter and enjoyed it. He also loved a variety of music, but his most favorite artist was Prince.
Charles' memory will be cherished by his children, Angela, Elisha, Clarence (Jessie), and Marcus aka "Boop" Winkey (Krystal); sister, Joyce Hardy; and brother, Michael Brown all of Coatesville, Pennsylvania. He will also be missed by his 8 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and beloved friends.
In addition to his parents, David Alexander Winkey Sr., and Ruth Thelma Winkey, Charles was preceded in death by his wife Teresa Marie Winkey; son, Charles "Manchie" Winkey; brothers, David Alexander Winkey, Jr., and Richard Winkey.
Charles' presence will be deeply missed. Although he is gone he will not be forgotten.
