August 2, 1957 – November 18, 2023
Charles William Hardy, 66, of Coatesville, PA passed away Saturday, November 18, 2023, at Paoli Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.
Born in Coatesville, he was the son of Mary Jane Laura Hardy and the late Murril Hardy. Charles was the beloved husband of Patricia Brown-Hardy.
Charles was a man who loved life and lived it to the fullest. He was an accomplished bass guitar player, and his music brought joy to all those around him. He was also a big Dallas Cowboys fan, and he loved to joke around with his family and friends.
Aside from music and football, Charles also had a passion for cooking and writing poems. He loved his wife dearly and enjoyed spending time with her. Charles was a man of faith and a member of Forward Impact Life Ministries. He loved the Lord and cherished his family, and his love for them was immeasurable.
He leaves many fond memories to his wife, Patricia Brown-Hardy of Coatesville; sons, Eric Swingler (Tabitha) Cleveland, Ohio, Charles Ben, Sr. (Tanesha Lopez-Ben) of Johnstown, PA, formerly of Coatesville, Michael Hardy (Shanell) of Coatesville: daughter, Lowann Hardy of Viet Nam; mother, Mary L J Hardy of Coatesville; brothers, Michael R. Hardy and Andrew N. Hardy both of Coatesville; sisters, Mary Jane Hardy, Theresa Henderson (Andrew) both of Coatesville; 7 grandchildren, 1 great-grandson and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one brother, Neal Hardy; and sisters, Michelle Hardy Taltoan and Celestine M. Foster.
Charles was a cherished husband, father, brother, and uncle. He will be remembered for his kind heart, his infectious smile, and his unwavering love for his family. He will be deeply missed.
A Memorial Service will be held at 3 PM on Saturday, November 25, 2023, at Wright Funeral & Cremation Services, 725 Merchant Street, Coatesville, PA. The family will gather for a visitation at 2:30 pm. Please note: There will not be a viewing.
