Obituary

Charles Stewart Fraser, "Snake", 63 of Media, formerly of Darby passed away Friday, August 17, 2012 at the Coatesville V.A. Medical Center in Coatesville.

Born in Darby, he was the son of the late Robert E. Fraser, Jr. and Catherine Robinson Stevenson

He was educated in the Ridley Area School District and was affectionately known by some as "Chuck".

A U.S. Army veteran, he served during the Vietnam Conflict attaining the rank of Corporal until he was honorably discharged in 1976.

Chuck enjoyed fishing and being around the water.  He was associated with the "Friends of Bill", "Men of Malvern" and "Matt Talbot group 57".  Chuck was very proud of his Scottish heritage and will be remembered as the last "Beat-Nik Hippie Pirate."

He is survived by two brothers; Robert Fraser, III (Anne) of Havertown, Brian Fraser (Lisa) of Media; two sisters; Leslie Thibeault of Virginia, Julie Grasso of New Jersey, other relatives and friends.

Friends are invited to a memorial service 11 a.m. -1 p.m., Sat. August 25, 2012 at the Hassler Chapel at Media Presbyterian Church, 30 E. Baltimore Ave., Media PA.

Interment will be held privately.
