Charles E. Wood, "Butchy",64, of Downingtown, PA, passed away, Thursday, November 1, 2018.  Born in Coatesville, PA, he was the son of the late Charles E. Kidd and Lucy J. Wood.

Charles was educated in the Coatesville Area School District. He worked as a fork lift driver at the former Davey Paper Company in Downingtown.

He was a member of Ebenezer Full Gospel Baptist Church in Downingtown, PA. Charles was excited about serving as security in the church.

Charles was fun loving and stern. He often hung out at the Downingtown Diner with his signature style of wearing his hat backwards.

He was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan. He also enjoyed the Coatesville sports teams and was a big fan of his grandchildren.

Charles is survived by a son, Dwayne Wood (Latisha) of Coatesville, PA; a daughter, Danisha Pechin of Coatesville, PA; sister, Amanda McMullen (Elder Ernest); 5 grandchildren: Destyni Wood, Dyamand Wood, Daymare Leach, Dayonna Nicholson, D'Andre Steele; aunts, Bertha Macon, Kathryn Bailey; uncle, David Pittman and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.

Services will be held at 11 AM on Friday, November 9, 2018 at Ebenezer Full Gospel Baptist Church, 199 Wallace Ave in Downingtown, PA. A viewing will be held beginning at 9 AM.

Interment will be held privately.

Flowers may be sent to the church on the day of the service.
