Chanell Monique Jones-Cooper was born in Bristol, Pennsylvania.  She was the daughter of Claudia Treadwell Jones and Brian M. Jones, Sr.
Chanell attended Coatesville Area High School where she was a member of the year 2000 graduating class.   She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from Delaware State University in 2007. She worked as Program Director and later Human Resources Coordinator for Choice for Community Living located in Dover, Delaware.
On July 15, 2005, Chanell married Andre Cooper.  Together they shared nine years of marriage.  Their love created their greatest gift to each other, a daughter named Laylah Elise Cooper who brought delight and joy into their lives.
Chanell was a faithful member of the Hutchinson Memorial UAME Church in Coatesville, where she served as church secretary and sang in the choir.
She is remembered as being a person full of joy, caring, thankful, and full of life. Chanell was family oriented and she enjoyed being a wife and mother.  She was a graceful beautiful woman inside and out. She would not let the challenges of her health keep her from giving 100 percent. Some of her hobbies included: crocheting scarves, pocketbooks and hats; shopping for the latest fashion; sports and singing. Most of all she enjoyed being helpful to others. She had a heart for people.
Chanell was a Gift of Life donor. Even in her passing she provided two kidneys and a liver to give hope to others in need of a lifesaving gift. Surrounded by her family, she departed this life on Sunday, February 8, 2015.
She leaves her husband Andre Cooper; daughter, Laylah E. Cooper; mother, Claudia Treadwell Jones; father, Brian M. Jones, Sr. and his wife Yolanda; brother, Brian Jones, Jr.; sister, Jocelyn R. Nadeau; step-sister, Kirstin Morris; best friends, Andrea Hodge and Ruth Stroman; God-daughters, Kennedy and Karrington Hodge; many other relatives and beloved friends.
Chanell Jones-Cooper was a Divine, Inspirational, Virtuous and Anointed lady (DIVA). She was a woman of faith who faced her challenges with grace and strength. She will be greatly missed.
