On Wednesday, March 12, 2025, Cathy Lynn Twerdok, of Valley Township in Coatesville, PA, peacefully passed away at home, surrounded by her loving family. She was 68 years old.

Cathy was born in Butler, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of Ernest and Mary Lou (Chiprean) Hartung. She was the beloved wife of Gregory Twerdok.

Cathy was a devoted wife, nurturing mother, and affectionate grandmother. She embraced her Italian culture and loved her grandchildren to call her Nonna.

Cathy's love language was food and loved to spoil her family and friends with homemade treats. She could always be found in the kitchen whipping up a delicious meal or baking goodies. At Christmas, she was known for her wide array of baked goods, making more than 30 types of cookies to give away as gifts.

Cathy was known amongst her friends as a kind, sweet, and generous person who often put other's needs above her own.

Cathy attended The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, in West Chester, PA.

She loved to serve her community professionally as well as personally, especially other mothers. She was a Le Leche League leader, a childbirth educator, a lactation consultant, and a Doula for birthing as well as postpartum mothers. Cathy was also an active member of her church community.

In addition to her husband, Gregory, she leaves cherished memories to her children, Abigail Twerdok (spouse, Ashley Brandt), Angela Twerdok (spouse, Joseph Hughes), Seth Twerdok, Ernest Twerdok, Aaron Twerdok (partner, Samantha Giacobozzi); grandchildren, Sawyer Hughes, Lincoln Twerdok, Elias Giacobozzi-Twerdok and Alex Ahart; sister, Kimberly Stephenson; daughter-in-law, Nicole Twerdok and many other relatives and friends.

Cathy was predeceased by one son, Scott Twerdok.

She has left behind a legacy of commitment and sacrifice. She truly lived a life of "family first".  Her memory will be deeply treasured by all those whose lives she has touched.

The family is having a memorial service at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1443 Telegraph Road, West Chester, PA 19380.
