Carole Ann {Covert} Rivera of Coatesville, PA, passed away Monday morning May 30, 2022, at Chester County Hospital in West Chester, PA.

Carole was born March 1, 1943, to the late Julian "Pop" Covert and Matilda Mae "Aunt Alice" Barnes.

She was born and raised in the Rock Run section of Coatesville. Carole was the wife of the late Nicholas R. Rivera, Sr. Together they had two children.

Carole worked with the elderly for over 20 years. She was a great and loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and foster-mother.

When she wasn't working, Carole enjoyed playing scrabble with her husband, painting, jumping rope, dancing and singing, watching funny YouTube videos and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition her parents, Carole was preceded in death by her brother, David Covert, and her husband of 57 years, Nicholas, Sr.

She is survived by her son, Nicholas Rivera, Jr. (Robby) of Chichester PA; daughter, Angela Rivera, who was her caretaker, of Coatesville, grandchildren, Princess, Nicki, Vinny, and EJ; three great-grandsons, Damar, Julian, and Xavier; siblings, Gloria Huthmaker of Hampton, VA, Janet Fowlkes of Downingtown, PA, and Esther Kirk of Coatesville, PA, as well as, a special niece, Roberta Stacey Smith of Atlanta, GA, and godson, Patrick Ward of Farrell, PA, and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
