Carole Linda Culpin, formerly of Downingtown, PA, and most recently of Reading, PA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at St. Joseph Medical Center in Reading. She was 78 years old.

Born in West Chester, she was the beloved daughter of the late Ralph Jacob Harrington and Elizabeth Jane (Stringer) Harrington. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Charles Culpin, with whom she shared many years of life and love.

Carole was raised in Downingtown and educated in the Downingtown public schools. She devoted 51 years of her life as a bus driver for Krapf, a testament to her strong work ethic and dedication. She was a wonderful cook, always making sure no one left her home hungry—her chicken casserole being a longtime family favorite. She enjoyed listening to country music, especially Elvis Presley and Kenny Rogers.

Carole found her greatest happiness in time spent with her family. She especially treasured summers spent boating with her children and grandchildren, where laughter and time together meant everything to her. She was also a constant presence at the motocross track, proudly supporting her son Danny and her grandchildren as they raced. Even though it scared her to death, she never missed a chance to be there for them.

Carole had a personality that was truly one of a kind, full of humor, honesty, and love. She had a special way of showing affection, often calling those she loved “shit ass”—a nickname that, to her family, meant you were truly part of her circle.

She is survived by her loving son, Danny Waldrop, and his wife, Rebecca, of Bernville, PA; her cherished grandchildren, Zachary Waldrop and Sammatha Gerz, wife of Cody; her adored great-grandson, Hayden Waldrop; her dear sister, Rozalinde Harrington-Limmer and her husband, Bobby, of Forsyth, GA; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.

She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

A viewing will be held from 11 AM until 12 noon on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at Wright Funeral & Cremation Services, 725 Merchant Street, Coatesville, PA.

Flowers may be sent to the funeral home on the day of the service.
