Carmelo Figueroa Rios, 58, of Lititz, PA passed away Monday, August 12, 2024, at the Lancaster General Hospital.

Born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Rosa Rios Rivera, Carmelo Figueroa Martinez and the father that raised him, Andres Molina.

In 2004, he moved to Brooklyn, New York, then Carmelo relocated to Lancaster in 2019 to live with his beloved daughter, Dania. Despite the challenges of his health, Carmelo was a man of deep faith and a constant source of encouragement to everyone around him. He found a spiritual home at Iglesia Divino Manantial Church of Lancaster.

He worked as a gifted Contractor & Builder for many years. Carmelo was an avid sports fan, with a particular fondness for the Buffalo Bills and the Houston Astros. He could often be found cheering on his favorite teams, a pastime that brought him great joy and camaraderie. However, his true passion lay in working on cars. Carmelo spent countless hours under the hood, finding both solace and satisfaction in the mechanical intricacies. His love for cars was second only to his devotion to his church community.

Above all, Carmelo was a devoted family man. He was a loving father, a supportive brother, and grandfather. His family was the cornerstone of his life, and he cherished every moment spent with them.

He is survived by his daughters, Dania Figueroa (Vincente) of Lititz, Carla Figueroa (Ramon) of Lancaster, Rouse Damaris Figueroa of Ponce, P.R.;  grandchildren: Davin J., Daviannie E.,  Ian E., Jose Dario, Aidan, Janelisse; siblings: Mary, Albert, Daniel, Freddy, Rebecca, Tita, America, Eugenio and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 PM, on Friday, August 16, 2024, at Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery, 1918 E Lincoln Highway, Lancaster, PA 17602.
