Carlos Lopp

Carlos Lopp, 66, of Coatesville, Pennsylvania, passed away on Friday, July 10, 2026, at the VA Medical Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Born in Coatesville on July 17, 1959, Carlos was the son of the late Charles "Sonny" Browne, Jr. and Nancy E. Lopp-Cheung. He was the husband of Colleen Jennings-Lopp.

Carlos was educated in the Coatesville Area School District and graduated from Coatesville Area Senior High School (CASH) in 1977, laying the foundation for a life defined by service, dedication, and passion.

A proud veteran of the United States Air Force, Carlos served his country as a Sergeant and Air Traffic Controller. Throughout his military career, he exemplified discipline, commitment, and honor.

Carlos was a devoted Philadelphia Eagles fan whose enthusiasm for his team matched his love for life. He enjoyed playing video games, a pastime that allowed him to reconnect with his youthful spirit and spend quality time with family and friends. Music was another great passion, and he especially loved R&B, with Michael Jackson and Beyoncé holding a special place in his heart.

Above all, Carlos was a devoted family man. His daughters, Shaunte, affectionately known as "Mini Me," and Carlise, lovingly called "Number One," were the light of his life. His close bond with his siblings reflected his nurturing spirit and the deep love he had for his family.

Carlos leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and loyalty. He is survived by his daughters, Carlise Cachet Lopp of Coatesville, Pennsylvania, and Shaunte Nicole Lopp of Coatesville, Pennsylvania; his wife, Colleen Jennings-Lopp of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; his sisters, Tanya "Taz" Browne of Coatesville, Pennsylvania, Nichet Washington of Marietta, Georgia, Deneen Cheung and Tamika Cheung, both of Coatesville, Pennsylvania; his brother, Hedrick "Lamie" Cheung (Kisha) of Coatesville, Pennsylvania; his cherished grandchildren, Shatae Pugh, Aionni Matthews, and Taylor Matthews; his close friends, Clayton Tinson, Leroy Richardson, Anthony Chambers, Robert Alexander, and Shannon Butterfield; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.

In addition to his parents, Charles "Sonny" Browne Jr. and Nancy E. Lopp-Cheung, Carlos was preceded in death by his stepfather, Hedrick D. Cheung; his stepmother, Linda Browne; his paternal grandparents, Charles Sumner Browne Sr. and Pearl Browne; his maternal grandparents, Eugene Lopp and Sarah S. Lopp; and his lifelong friend, Robert Gibson.

Carlos will be remembered for his warmth, unwavering spirit, steadfast loyalty, and abiding love for his family and friends. His memory will be deeply cherished by all who knew and loved him, and his legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of those whose lives he touched.

A funeral has been planned for 4:00 PM, Sunday, July 26, 2026, at Wright Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc, 725 Merchant St, Coatesville, PA. There will be a viewing from 2:00 PM until 3:45 PM. Burial with Air Force military honors will be on Monday, July 27, 2026, at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in Annville, PA.
