IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Carlee David
Brown, Jr.
October 22, 1956 – August 23, 2025
Carlee David Brown Jr., affectionately known by his family as "BB," was born on October 22, 1956, in Würzburg, Germany, to the late Carlee David Brown Sr. and Margarita Brown. He entered into eternal rest on August 23, 2025.
Carlee was one of six siblings and grew up in Coatesville, Pennsylvania, where he was educated in the Coatesville Area School District and graduated from high school in 1975.
Following graduation, he enlisted in the United States Army, where he trained and served as a Military Police officer until receiving an honorable discharge. After completing his military service, he began a long and dedicated career at the Coatesville Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
Over more than four decades, he worked in several departments, including the Nursing Service, Food Service, Grounds Maintenance, and the Painting Shop—where he eventually retired after 43 years of faithful service. During his time at the VA, he served as a longtime union representative and received numerous awards in recognition of his outstanding commitment and contributions.
Carlee will be remembered as a loving husband, devoted father and grandfather, loyal brother, and a generous man who never hesitated to help others. He was an outdoorsman at heart who loved fishing, playing volleyball and horseshoes, and attending jazz concerts. He enjoyed music of all kinds and was an enthusiastic sports fan—especially when it came to football (Go 49ers!) and basketball.
In addition to his parents, Carlee was preceded in death by his sister, Linda Johnson, and his brother, Harvel O. Brown.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his devoted wife of 41 years, Carolyn Brown; two sons, Carlee D. Brown III and Jaron L. Brown Sr. (Talia); four cherished grandchildren: Kayla, Kaylee, Tamia, and Jaron Jr.; one brother, Andre W. Brown; and two sisters, Patricia Colbert and Marion Brown, all of Coatesville. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will forever hold him in their hearts.
A service will be held at 11 AM, on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at New Life in Christ Fellowship, 1 South 5th Avenue, Coatesville, PA. The viewing will begin at 9:00 AM. Friends may greet the family at 10:30 AM.
