Carla Denise Thompson, 52, of Coatesville, Pennsylvania, passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at Thompson Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. Born in Coatesville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Michael Thompson and Yvonne Melvin Thompson.  She was a graduate of Coatesville Area Senior High School. Carla enjoyed crocheting, cooking and baking. Though living with a disability she did not use it as an excuse. She was a survivor long after the doctor determined she would not make it. She had the strength to take care of her brothers when they were in need. Carla had a knack for putting furniture items together with ease. Her favorite pastimes were watching home improvement TV shows, playing card games, traveling to Delaware Park and solving puzzles in books. She will be remembered as a loving mother and a pillar of strength for her family. She is deeply missed by her daughter, Tiana Thompson of Coatesville, PA; brothers, Michael Thompson, Dwayne Thompson and James Thompson all of Coatesville, PA; 3 grandchildren, Zameir Thompson, Sam'mariah Womack, Gregory Lee, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by a brother, Troy Thompson and a good friend Joan Foster. A memorial gathering of friend and family will be held from 3:00 - 5:00 PM, Saturday, May 25, 2019 at the funeral home. Please note: There will not be a public viewing.

Interment will be held privately.
