Rev. Calvin Lewis Rowland, 66, departed this life on March 11, 2016 at the Neighborhood Hospice Center in West Chester, Pa. Born in Atlanta, Ga, he was the son of the late James E. Rowland, Jr and Ella Mae Rowland.
He was the husband of Donna Y. Rowland with whom he shared 19 years of marriage.
A US Army veteran, Calvin served six years until he was honorably discharged in 1977.
He was employed as a supervisor at Dupont/Axalta in Lionville.
Calvin was a member of Brewer Memorial Baptist Church in Pomeroy, Pa.
He is survived by his wife Donna, two daughters, Barbara (Nikki) Rowland; Tiffany Johnson-Martin (David); one son, Rashad Johnson; two sisters,  Emily Wells (Danny); Rebecca Buckines; three sisters-in-love, Patricia Boggs, Kathy Mayo (Curtis), Jacquelyn Carter (Wayne); one brother,  James Rowland, III; parents-in-love:  Rev. & Mrs. James Grove, Sr.; brothers, John Hudson & Bill Jordan; sister: Ira Hudson; beloved cousin, Betty Washington; 12 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; many other relatives and friends.
Life Celebration Services will be held at 5 pm, Saturday, March 19, 2016 at New Life in Christ Fellowship, One South Fifth Avenue in Coatesville.  Friends are invited to a viewing from 3 to 4:45 pm
Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Calvin Lewis Rowland Memorial Fund, 69 Oakmont Place, Coatesville, PA  19320
