Obituary

Calvin Ray Floyd, Sr., 52, of Coatesville, Pa., formerly of Little Rock, died Friday, May 22, 2009 in Phila. Pa.  He was the husband of Gloria (Ray) Floyd.  Born in Little Rock, he was the son of Rev. Samuel Floyd, Jr. and Bertha L Floyd. Calvin graduated from Park View High School after which he served in the US Army for four years.

He was employed as a tractor trailer driver where he traveled 48 states for many years. He enjoyed fishing, singing and most of all driving.

He is survived by his wife Gloria Floyd; three sons Calvin Floyd, Jr., Mitchell Floyd,  Andre Floyd (Heather) all of Pennsylvania; mother Bertha L. Floyd and father Rev. Samuel  Floyd, Jr. of Little Rock; sisters, Virginia Arnold (Tranny) of Little Rock, Berniece Anderson (William) of Coatesville, Pa.; three brothers Alvin Floyd (Janice) of Iowa, Melvin Floyd (Carolyn) and Ronald Floyd (Shavita) all of Little Rock, and a host of nieces, nephew, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Services will be held 10 a.m. Friday, May 29, at New Life In Christ Fellowship, 1 S 5th Ave, Coatesville, Pa.

Interment with military honors will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, Pa.
