Bruce Stanley Purcell, "Brucey", 57, of Coatesville, PA, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 27, 2022. He was the son of the late Charles H. Purcell and Jane A. Boggs Purcell, and the husband of Regina W. Boyer Purcell.
Born and raised in Coatesville, Bruce received his early education from the Coatesville Area public school system. He was employed at the ArcelorMittal Steel company in Coatesville.
Bruce was a stylishly dressed gentleman who loved to wear his signature style of hats and shoes. He loved fishing, dancing, and working out at the gym. He was the life of the party and dedicated to his family. Bruce was an avid San Francisco 49ers fan. He enjoyed listening to old-school R& B music and playing with his dog "Poncho". Most of all he enjoyed making videos of his grandson, "Tinky", and spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, Bruce was preceded in death by one stepson, Lamar Boyer, Sr.
Bruce is survived by his wife, Regina Purcell; daughter, Shareese Vaughn of Coatesville; step-daughters, Brea Boyer of Downingtown, Tramaine Boyer-Peoples (Marquis) of Coatesville; grandchildren: Lamar Boyer Jr. of White Plains, NY, Marquis Peoples, Jr., Amauri Boyer, Brees Boyer, of Coatesville, Aaris Parker, Jr. "Tinky" and Aarilyn Parker of Downingtown, Legend Boyer of Oxford; Siblings, Annette E. Shabazz (Haneef), Michael Purcell of Coatesville, Cynthia Purcell of Lancaster, Roy Purcell (Sharon) of California; special niece, Atiya Shabazz; best friend, Robert Turner; godchildren, Chanel Turner and Deborah Turner, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Bruce will be sadly missed but we will cherish the fond memories that remain with us forever.
Life Celebration Services will be held at 10:00 AM, on Saturday, October 8, 2022, at Bell Chapel True Holiness Church, 132 Modena Road, Coatesville, PA. A viewing will be held beginning at 8:00 AM until the service time.
The interment will be held in Rolling Green Memorial Park, West Chester, PA.

Flowers may be sent to the church on the day of the service.
