Bruce M. Johnson, 'œMikie', 59, of Coatesville, passed away April 6, 2015 at the Brandywine Hospital in Caln. He was the son of Dorothy E. Johnson and the late Paul L. Johnson.

Born in Phoenixville, Bruce was a graduate of Coatesville High School and Waynesburg College. He had been employed at the State Store and later worked as a mail clerk at the US Postal Service in New Castle, Delaware. He was a member of TKE fraternity and the music group GNP from Waynesburg University.

Bruce enjoyed all kinds of music and loved to play his saxophone.

He is survived by his mother, Dorothy E. Johnson; nephew, Darryl Johnson, Jr. and his wife Ebony; great nephew,  Quadir Johnson; great niece, Kassidee Johnson; aunts, Esther (Maitland) Harvey, Ruth Miller, Barbara Westmoreland, Janice Solen all of Coatesville, and  Jacqueline Hunt of Downingtown,  uncle; Gordon (Sheena) Flowers of Coatesville , and a host of cousins and friends.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one brother, Darryl Johnson, Sr.

Services will be held at 4 pm, Saturday, April 11, 2015 at Hutchinson UAME Church, 825 E Chestnut St., Coatesville, Pa.  Viewing will begin at 3 p.m. Interment will be held privately.
