Brenda Marie Edwards, 71, of Coatesville, PA, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at the West Chester Rehabilitation Center.

Born in Coatesville, she was the daughter of the late Claude Edwards, Sr., and Edith Herndon Edwards.

She received her early education from the Coatesville Area School District. She graduated from Coatesville Area Senior High School.

She worked as a Nurse Aide at Coatesville VA Hospital for many years. Brenda was a member of the Holy Tabernacle Church of God in Christ. She loved the Lord, enjoyed listening to gospel music, and loved attending the annual church convocation.  She was also a member of the Pastor's Aide Committee and enjoyed collecting teddy bears and small figurines.

Brenda was a Dallas Cowboys fan. She also enjoyed traveling, bus trips, going to New Orleans, cruises to Jamaica, going to the Gallery in Philadelphia, and cooking traditional soul food. She was very frank and known to have a bossy personality; however, she was caring as well.

She is deeply missed by her siblings, Jackie Edwards (Alicia) of Downingtown, Deaconess Delores Boggs of Coatesville, Deaconess Donna Tate (John) of Coatesville, Claude Edwards Jr. of Coatesville, Deacon David Edwards (Evang. Tariya) of Downingtown, Minister Kevin Edwards of Coatesville, Trustee Eric Edwards of Valley Township; aunts and uncles, Kenneth and Marie Scriber of Philadelphia, Robert and Louise Herndon of West Chester and host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Deaconess Carolyn Buchanan.

Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, November 22, 2025, at Holy Tabernacle Church of God in Christ, 533 Coates Street in Coatesville, with a viewing beginning at 9:00 AM.

Interment will be in New Evergreen Cemetery, Coatesville.
