On Monday, April 7, 2025, Bonnie L. Nixon, of Valley Township in Coatesville, PA, passed away at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, in Philadelphia, PA. Bonnie was 68 years old.
Born in Coatesville, Bonnie was the daughter of the late Edgar L. Gaffney and Geraldine D. Myers.
She was the wife of Robert Anthony Nixon, with whom she shared 33 years of marriage.
Bonnie was a graduate from Coatesville Area School District, she also completed cosmetology school.
She worked for many years at Chester County Hospital and Brandywine Hospital. She continued her career at the Coatesville Veterans Administration Medical Center until she retired.
She attended Christian Faith Fellowship in Downingtown. She enjoyed shopping and attending her grandkids' sports activities. She also enjoyed vacationing with her family and watching daytime TV shows along with playing video games of words with friends.
She leaves precious memories to her husband Robert A. Nixon with whom she had two sons: Andrè R. Myers (Jessica) and Brian A. Myers (Darlene); 7 grandchildren: Brian Myers, Jr., Daniah Myers, Ava Myers, Jamèra Winchester-Williams (Enoch), Alizayna Walton, Nyla Nixon, and Nuri Nixon; 4 step-children: Robyn Mack, Anthony Nixon (Tiffany), Robert Walton, and Courtney Nixon; siblings: George E. Myers, III (Philena), Barbara Walker, Bruce Myers (Melissa), Gerald Myers (Gloria), Brinton Myers (Charisse), Sherman Myers (Kathy), Karen E. Newton (Lawrence), Florence Gaffney and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Patricia Taylor, Geraldine Sutton, Sonny Gaffney, Robert Gaffney, Edgar Gaffney Jr., and Esther Gaffney.
Homegoing Services will be held at 10 AM, on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at Second Baptist Worship Center, 857 Lumber Street, Coatesville PA. A viewing will be held from 8 AM until 9:45 AM.

Interment will be held in New Evergreen Cemetery in Coatesville, PA.
