(Paskings) Dantzler
October 29, 1948 – April 8, 2022
Bertha "Bert" Romaine Dantzler, affectionately known as "Puds", 73, of Coatesville, PA, passed away, Friday, April 8, 2022, at her residence.
Born in Coatesville, Bert was the daughter of the late Edward and Pearl Irene (Jackson) Paskings. At an early age, she and her family moved to West Chester, PA where she was educated through the public school system. Bert graduated from Henderson High School in 1966 and went on to pursue additional education in accounting.
In 1970 Bert met David D. Dantzler. They married in 1975 and built a life of happiness together with their four children.
Bert had a successful career of over 30 years working at the Housing Authority of Chester County and retired while serving as the Director of the organization. After retirement, she served as the secretary at Hutchinson UAME Church, where she was a member for over 40 years.
Bert enjoyed watching Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy, The Young and the Restless, and General Hospital. She also loved traveling and going on cruises. Most of all she was an avid reader.
Bert is survived by her husband, David D. Dantzler of Coatesville; daughters, Tiana Dantzler of Pittsburgh, Tasha Dantzler-Hoggard (Leroy, Jr.) of Parkesburg, Dana D. Killingsworth (David, Jr.) of Bensalem; step-daughter, Kimberly Bessick (Chandler) of North Carolina; grandchildren, Charlesha Cooper, Nyiesha Forte, Niyah Dantzler, Khya Washington, Jabriel Lopez, Ryann Killingsworth, Destyn Hoggard, and Devon Killingsworth; 4 great grandchildren; siblings, Esther Boyer of Thorndale, Marguerite Brunson of Coatesville, Myrtle E. Paskings, Patricia Griffin both of West Chester, Jean Liebtreu (Rick) of Coatesville, Maryann Graves of West Chester, Catherine Paskings of Coatesville, Edward Paskings, Jr., of Exton, Donald Paskings of Parkesburg, Ronald Paskings of Reading, Dorothy Majors of Virginia, Brian Paskings, Sr. of Temple; God children; Tamyng Paskings, Quentin Hanson, and Karmoni Huggins and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by sisters, Gloria V. Jackson-Paskings and Regina Paskings.
Homegoing services will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at Hutchinson UAME Church, 825 E. Chestnut Street Coatesville, PA 19320. A viewing will be held from 9:00 AM until 10:45 AM.
The interment will be at 10:30 AM on Thursday, April 14, 2022, at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA.
