Bernice M. Bookman Luby, 83, of Coatesville, passed away Thursday, November 17, 2011 at the Brandywine Hospital.

Born in Coatesville, she was the daughter of the late Albert Bookman and Mary Chappell Bookman and the wife of the late William Luby.
She attended the Tabernacle Baptist Church in Coatesville.

Bernice enjoyed reading, watching the Philadelphia 76'ers, and being with her family.

She is survived by four daughters, Carla Annette Harvey, Sandra Brickus, Vanessa Corbitt and Alisa Hines, all of Coatesville;  Tamiko Shatteen of Phoenixville who was raised like a daughter; brothers, Reginald Brickus and Stephan Luby, both of Coatesville, Step-son, Craig Luby of Philadelphia; 11 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Services will be held 10 a.m., Wednesday, Nov.  23, at the Tabernacle Baptist Church, 819 Coates St., Coatesville with a viewing beginning at 8 a.m.
Interment will be in Rolling Green Memorial Park, West Chester.
