Beatrice Gloria Murray, 80, of Coatesville, PA was called home to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 24, 2023, surrounded by her family, at the Pocopson Home in West Chester.

Born in Coatesville, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Olivia Joseph Wright.

After raising her family she worked as a home health aide for many years.

Bea, a beloved mother, sister, and grandmother, recently passed away, leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness. Her unwavering faith in the Lord and her dedication to the Church of Deliverance in Downingtown was a testament to her character. For many years, she served as an usher, always greeting fellow churchgoers with a warm smile and kind words.

Her grandkids will always remember her offering them some sweet treats which she enjoyed making sure they had whenever they came to visit.  However, her culinary talents didn't stop there. She also enjoyed cooking some of her favorite comfort foods including collard greens and baking "7-up" Cake, which was something she looked forward to doing.

In her free time, Bea enjoyed knitting, doing crossword puzzles, and listening to some good ole gospel music. She was an incredibly giving person, always willing to lend a hand to those in need. Her selflessness and generosity will be missed by all who knew her.

Beatrice is survived by three daughters, Stephanie Y. Nichols and Tonya M. Harris both of Coatesville, Sharon L. Purcell of California; sister, Annie Elliott of Downingtown, and Shirley Wright of Harrisburg; 11 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren; best friends, Priscilla Douglas and Kaye Dorsey and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Tonette Wright-Ennis; brothers, Onslow  Wright, James Wright, and David Wright, and a sister, Betty Mae Harris.

Though her presence will be dearly missed, we are comforted in knowing she is at rest with the Lord.

Homegoing Services will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at the Church of Deliverance, 201 Bradford Avenue, Downingtown, PA.  A viewing will be held beginning at 10 AM until the service time. Interment will be held privately.
