IN LOVING MEMORY OF

Barbara Ann

Lee

January 31, 1934 – October 6, 2022

Obituary

Barbara Ann Lee was called home to be with the Lord on October 6, 2022, at the age of 88.  She passed away at home surrounded by her loving family.

Barbara was born on January 31, 1934, to the late Ira James Wesley and Naomi Sarah Ferguson in Coatesville, Pennsylvania.  She was one of 9 children.

Barbara attended Marshallton Elementary School and West Chester High School.

She was employed by and retired from Embreeville State Hospital where she worked as a therapy activity aide.

Barbara attended Mount Caramel Church of God in Christ of West Chester where she served as an usher. She was a devoted church member and a firm believer in her Lord Jesus Christ.

Barbara was a naturally talented seamstress who loved to make dresses and reupholstered furniture.  She always found time to hem various items for a PERFECT FIT for anyone in need!  She also loved to take long walks daily where she would collect cans along the way.

Barbara devoted much of her day to reading the Holy Bible. And no matter where she was, you would never find her without her word puzzle book!!!

She was a kind-hearted person and extended a helping hand to anyone in need!

Barbara is survived by one sister, Ruth Bowens of Coatesville; three brothers: Carey Ferguson of Seattle, WA, Douglas Ferguson of Seattle, WA, and Gerald "Bunny" Ferguson of Downingtown, PA; 3 grandchildren, Michelle Rice (Dale), Christina Lee, and Anthony (Curnell) Lee; 5 great-grandchildren, Roneshia, Ronald, Devante, Jazmin, Christopher, Jaylin, and Arianna; one great-great-grandson, Jaxson and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, Mt Carmel COGIC family and friends!

Barbara Lee was preceded in death by her only son Donald A. Lee, Sr. (Mickey); three brothers, Ira Ferguson "Bunky", Robert Ferguson "Bob", Francis Ferguson; two sisters, Joan Ferguson Jackson, Linda Costello Hammond; and grandson, Donald A. Lee, III.

As Barbara would often say," I'm being well taken care of." These were her true spoken words. Our family is grateful for Michelle and Dale Rice who showed their love for their grandmother by taking Barbara in and dedicating years to being her advocate and caregiver.

Barbara Ann Lee was loved by many and will be truly missed!  No services are planned per her final wishes.

Family and friends may share condolences at the guestbook link on this memorial page. All are welcome to light a candle in her memory.
