Arnold F. Bailey, 78, of Coatesville, passed away Thursday, January 14, 2016 at the Chester County Hospital in West Chester.  He was the son of the late William Bailey Sr. and Pearl C. Bailey. He was the husband of Kathryn (Tooles) Bailey with whom he shared 30 years. Arnold graduated from Scott High School and attended Cheyney State Teachers College. He worked for Lukens Steel Mill for 43 years until he retired.

He is survived by his loving wife Kathryn Bailey; children: Anita Smith (Arthur), Kevin Wood (Linda), Marcella Wood-DuCasse (David), Lynnette Wood, Andre Wood (Sharon), Anthony Wood, and Tanya Wood-Randolph (Torre) Arnold; sisters: Patricia Winkey and Lecollia Bond (William); sister-in-laws: Jacqueline Tucker, Gwendolyn Tooles, Deborah Tooles, Dr. Carla Walls (Ben), Irma Bailey, Edith Bailey; 19 grandchildren, and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and beloved friends.

In addition to his parents, Arnold is predeceased by his son Julian Carter; brothers: William Bailey Jr., Mitchell Bailey, and Morris Bailey; sister: Dorothy Roberta Bailey, and two sister-in-laws: Joann Tooles and Barbara Johnson.

He will be dearly missed by his loved ones and he will be remembered for his contagious laughter and loving smile.

Funeral Services are planned for 11 am, Friday, January 22, 2016 at Ebenezer Full Gospel Baptist Church, 199 Wallace Ave, Downingtown Pa 19335 with a viewing beginning at 9 am.
