Anna Mae Hampton Cuff

Anna Mae Hampton Cuff, 96, of Coatesville, passed away Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at Saint Martha Manor Nursing Home in Downingtown.
Born in Wayne, she was the daughter of the late George A. and Parthenia B. Twisdale Hampton. She was the wife of the late William "Bill" B. Cuff, Sr. whom she married on October 8, 1939. They shared 76 years of marriage until his passing in 2014.
She received her early education at Radnor Elementary School. Later, her family moved to Malvern where she attended the former Tredyffrin Easttown High School in Berwyn. She remained in Malvern until she was married.
She was a faithful and active member of the First Baptist Church of Passtown in Coatesville. There she served as Secretary of the Usher Board, President of the Youth Choir, President of the New Members Club, Secretary and Financial Secretary of the Pastor's Aide, member and secretary of the Gospel Chorus, and Assistant Church Secretary for 39 years. She also served as Vacation Bible School teacher and aide.
Anna's other activities included; member and secretary of the Chester County Ladies Auxiliary of Lincoln University, Secretary of the Young Married Couples Fellowship Club of Coatesville, Secretary of the Hyacinth Embroidery Club of Coatesville, former secretary of the Better Housing Co-Operation of West Chester, and member of the Coatesville Hospital Ladies Auxiliary.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by brothers, George L. Hampton, Warren B. Hampton, Wilmer C. Hampton, Theodore Hampton and Donald Hampton, sister in-law, Priscilla E. Stokes, brother in-law, John T. Cuff, Jr.
She is survived by her son William B. Cuff, Jr., daughter in-law Charlotte H. Cuff of Coatesville; grandson, Blaire R. Cuff and one great grandson Gabriel Cuff both of Allentown; two sisters Bernice (Horace) Moore of Philadelphia and Virginia Malson of Neptune, NJ. and many other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Services will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, February 5, 2015 at the First Baptist Church of Passtown, 117 Barber Avenue, Coatesville. A viewing will be held from 9 a.m. until the service time.
Interment will be in Rolling Green Memorial Park in West Chester.
