Allen Wilburn Carroll, Jr., 91, of Philadelphia, formerly of Coatesville, passed away, February 1, 2018 at the Abington Hospital.

Born in Coatesville, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Allen W. Carroll, Sr. and Anna V. Pugh.

He received his early education from the Coatesville Area School District. He attended the Historical James Adams School and was a graduate of the S. Horace Scott High School. He worked at the formerly named Lukens Steel Mill in Coatesville. Allen served two years in the United States Army shortly after World War II.  He enrolled in Lincoln University.

After relocating to Philadelphia, Allen worked as a barber and operated his own barbershop.

Services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at the First Baptist Church of Passtown, 117 Barber Avenue, Coatesville, with a viewing from 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM. Interment will be in New Evergreen Cemetery, Coatesville.
