Allan Winthrop Low, Jr., 72, of Honeybrook passed away Friday October 23 at Chestnut Knoll Assisted Living in Boyertown. Al graduated from Longmeadow High School and Worcester Polytechnic Institute. Al worked many years in the aerospace field, first at General Electric, later retiring from Lockheed Martin. Al is survived by his wife of 48 years, Carol Higgs Low; his children, Christie Starr (Thom), Allan T. (Karen), and James R. (Merry Beth); grandchildren, Elorah and Jaiden Starr, Dylan and Lillian Low; his sister, Susan Low (Carl Frederici); nephews, Charles and Seth Frederici; step-sisters, Sara-Jane Swett Bellanca, Martha Swett Gordon and Louise Tincher. A memorial service for Al was held at the First Church of Christ, 763 Longmeadow Street, Longmeadow at 11 a.m. December 12, with a reception at the church to follow. A private internment is planned.
