Alice attended Radnor High School where she starred on the basketball and field hockey teams.  After graduation, Alice went to work as a clerk typist for the Crime Prevention Association in Philadelphia.

Alice was an active member of the Mt. Zion AME Church in Devon, Pa., where she served in many ministries. She also enjoyed sports, gardening, travel, and playing music on the piano and organ.  Alice was a talented musician who sang in her church choir.

She is survived by her husband Harry A. Wright, Sr., son, Harry (Renee) Wright, Jr. of Hudson, Ohio; daughters, Jacqueline (Larry) Delorme of Parkesburg and Karen (James) Gomez of Malvern; sister, Sharon (James) Johnson of Philadelphia; brother, Gregory Lane of New Jersey; 11 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two daughters, Sheila D. Curtis, Gail Y. Wright and one brother Clyde B. Lane, Jr.

Homegoing services will be held Saturday, March 29, 2014 at Mt. Zion AME Church, 380 N Fairfield Road, Devon, Pa. 19333. Viewing 8 to 10 a.m, with services beginning at 10 a.m..   Interment will be in Rolling Green Memorial Park in West Chester.
