Alexander H. Medley Jr., "Abdul Aleem", 56, of Coatesville  passed peacefully June 17, 2015 amongst his family and friends at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia, PA.

Aleem is survived by his mother, Elnor (Mayo) Whitehead; wife Crystal "Anisa" Thomas; Daughters: Aaliyah Castro, Shannon Thomas, and Praige Thomas-Minor; Sons: Nasir Medley, Aleem Medley, Aleem Salim, and Abdul Salim. Sons in law: Ricardo Castro and Markus Minor; Grandchildren: Ahmad Thomas, Na'im Castro, Kai'eem Medley, Saeed Castro, Neidys Salim, Abdul Salim J. and Natalia Grace.

Aleem was born on June 6, 1959 in Philadelphia, Pa. to Elnor (Mayo) Whitehead and Alexander H. Medley, Sr. He attended Simon Gratz High School and graduated from Lincoln Tech High. He married his soul mate Crystal "Anisa" Thomas in 1991. His children remember him as a loving protective, funny and caring father who was dedicated to his faith in Islam. Aleem was the co-founder of Masjid Ar-Rahman in Coatesville, PA. He was a staple and pillar in the Coatesville community for his outreach efforts and leaves behind a rich legacy of sincerity to Allah and a selfless commitment to serving the Dean of Allah with passion.
