Alberta Brison Brown, 86, of Coatesville, PA, formerly of Kennett Square, passed away Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia.

Born in Lambertown, PA, she was the daughter of the late Harvey William Brison and Bessie (Bricks) Brison.

Alberta was the wife of the late Joseph R. Brown, Sr. with whom she shared 35 years of marriage.

She is survived by her sons: Stephen Michael Brown (Judy) of Long Beach, CA, Joseph R. Brown, Jr. of Missouri, Patrick "Russell" (Susan) Brown of Downingtown, PA; Clifford Ford (Willa) of Georgia; daughters; Lori Ann Brown, of Kennett Square, Diane Elaine Boyer of Wilmington, DE; sisters, Lillian Brison of Kennett Square and Marsha Carter of Virginia; 24 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her sons: David Anderson, James R. Brown, Charles Brown; daughter, Sandra R. Brown; brothers: Alvin, Ernest, James, Edward, Elmer, Charles, Paul; sisters: Sara, Catherine, Vivian, Margaret, Evelyn, and May.

Homegoing Services will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at Bethel AME Church, 300 E. Linden Street in Kennett Square, PA. Her viewing begins at 10 AM until 10:45 AM.

Interment will be held at Union Hill Cemetery, in Kennett Square, PA.

Flowers can be sent to the church on the day of the service. The theme color is green and pink.
