Helen Alberta Boyd, "Alberta", 84, of Coatesville, passed away Monday, March 6, at Neighborhood Hospice of West Chester.

Born in Coatesville, she was the daughter of the late Helen Maude (Thomas) and Archie Perry. She was the widow of the late Charles C. Boyd, Sr.

Alberta attended the Historic James Adams Elementary School, and was a graduate of S. Horace Scott High School.

She worked as a Nurses Aide at Embreeville State Hospital for 27 years until her retirement.

She was a devoted member of Hutchinson Memorial UAME Church Coatesville.

Alberta is survived by one daughter Diane Boyd, of Downingtown; son, Charles C. Boyd, Jr., of Coatesville; 4 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren; two sister in-laws, Helen Meeks of Coatesville, and Susie Mason of Newark, NJ.

A Homegoing Service will be held 11:00 AM, Thursday, March 16, at Hutchinson Memorial UAME Church, 825 E Chestnut St., Coatesville, with a viewing from 9:00 AM until 10:45 AM.

Interment will be held at Zion Hill Cemetery, Atglen, PA.
