Albert Louis Harold "Hawkeye" Hawkins, Sr., 73, of Coatesville, PA passed away Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at home. Born in Philadelphia, Hawkeye was the son of the late Ellsworth "Ham" Hammond, Sr. and Ruth Hawkins Hammond. He was the husband of Michele N. Robinson Hawkins with whom he recently celebrated 9 years of marriage.
Hawkeye was educated in the Coatesville Area public school district. He attended the historic James Adams School and was a 1966 graduate of S. Horace Scott Senior High School. Hawkeye's life experiences afforded him to travel and live in several regions across the country including, Philadelphia, Williamsport, PA, California, Atlanta, GA, Silver Spring, MD and Coatesville. He had several jobs throughout the years, however he most recently worked as a medical transport specialist at Harrison House. Hawkeye was known to be a sharp minded person, intelligent and knowledgeable on many subjects. He was an avid Philadelphia sports fanatic. He loved the Philadelphia Eagles, boxing, collecting hats, dancing, and listening to all kinds of music.
Hawkeye will be deeply missed by his beloved wife, Michele N. Hawkins of Coatesville, PA; his children: Cheryl Hawkins of Washington, DC, Albert Louis Harold "Spock" Hawkins (Shawn) of Coatesville, Monica Hawkins of Coatesville, Marquis Corporal of Coatesville, PA, Marchuan Mosley (Heather) of Downingtown, Terrell Mosley of Milton, PA, Eddie Wise Allen (Michael) of Mississippi, Brenda Mitchell of Williamsport, PA; step-children, Dana E.L. Robinson of Coatesville, PA, Keenya D. Robinson of Chester Springs, PA, Keya D. Stanford of Atlanta, GA; close friends, Arnold Hammond and Nate Bookman both of Coatesville, PA;16 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by one daughter, Yamalee Gantz; stepson, James E.L. Robinson; sister, Inez B. Mines; and brother, Ellsworth Hammond, Jr.
Funeral services will be held at 6:00 PM on Friday, September 10, 2021, at Wright Funeral & Cremation Services, 725 Merchant Street, Coatesville, PA. A viewing will be held beginning at 4:00 PM until the service time.

In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations in his honor be made for cancer research.
