IN LOVING MEMORY OF

Adriana Angelica

Padilla

December 2, 1935 – November 6, 2025

Obituary

On the afternoon of Thursday, November 6, 2025, Adriana Angelica Padilla, of Yonkers, New York, and a recent resident of Coatesville, Pennsylvania, passed away at Paoli Hospital in Paoli, Pennsylvania, after a prolonged stay. She was 89 years old.

Adriana was born in Lares, Puerto Rico, on December 2, 1935, to parents Alejandro Crespo and Angelica Victoria Viera. She was one of eighteen siblings. Adriana was the devoted wife of Miguel Angel Padilla, 93, whom she met in the Bronx, New York, in 1956. They were set to celebrate their sixty-eighth wedding anniversary on November 30, 2025. Adriana is survived by her husband, Miguel, her four children, Lizette Padilla-Mars, 67, Angela Vargas, 65, and her husband, Wilfredo Vargas, 67, Migdalia Gonzalez, 64, and her husband Lenin Gonzalez Jr., 61, and Efrain Padilla, 62, her grandchildren Daniel Vargas, 36, and his fiancé Flor, 40, Stephanie Gonzalez, 33, Lauren Fickenscher, 27, and her husband Daniel Fickenscher, 27, and Andrew Gonzalez, 22, and niece, Francine Serrano, 50, and her remaining brothers and sisters Maria Eugenia Grevi, 85, Maria de Pilar Rollon, 81, Leonardo Crespo, 80, and Pablo Reymundo Crespo, 71. She was a cat mom to Bébé and Cheddar, and countless other creatures throughout her life. Additionally, Adriana was a mother, grandmother, sister, titi, and friend to a multitude of others, not just those aforementioned. Her fiercely maternal presence made her a keystone in many people's lives.

Adriana was a devout Catholic and a deeply spiritual individual. Her faith was a cornerstone in her life, and she passed that spirituality on to those she loved. Adriana was an avid reader who loved reading the latest Mitch Albom book, but she was also a television enthusiast. She loved everything from Hallmark Movies and period pieces to 90 Day Fiancé and Schitt's Creek. However, her all-time favorite movie was Pretty Woman, and all other television ceased to exist if it was airing. She was also quite the aficionado when it came to the Royal Family, their history, and presence in pop culture.

Adriana's passions, her curiosity, and the joy she found in life's simple comforts were a reflection of her generous spirit. These interests, big and small, were woven into the fabric of who she was. She shared her love freely, and those she touched will carry her warmth, her wisdom, and her faith with them always.

Adriana touched more lives than she ever realized, offering comfort, love, joy, and wisdom in ways that continue to echo through everyone who knew her. Her legacy and spirit remain alive in the memories we hold close to our hearts. Her presence in our lives will be profoundly and deeply missed in ways that words can hardly express. May she rest in eternal peace.

Que la Virgen te cuide.
