Vincent Carl Bryant, Sr., 79, of Coatesville, PA, passed away Monday, June 11, 2018, at the Coatesville VA Medical Center.
A life-long resident of Coatesville, he was the son of the late James Porter Bryant, Sr. and Sarah Hunter Boggs Bryant.
Vincent served in the U.S. Army until he was honorably discharged. He was employed for several years at the Coatesville VA Medical Center.
Vincent was an active member of the Coatesville NAACP. His father was one of the founding members.
He loved Jazz, cooking and was an avid sports fan. His favorite teams include: the Philadelphia 76’ers and of course the 2018 Championship winning Philadelphia Eagles and the Villanova Wildcats.
Vincent is survived by one son, Vincent "JR" Carl Bryant, Jr. of Coatesville, PA; daughters, Tamra N. Bryant of Dallas, TX, Geraldine Potter of Chester, PA; sisters, Clara Milbourne, Rev. Shirley Trammell, Violetta Pernsley, Elsie Westmoreland, Mother Sarah Towles; brothers, James “Sonny” Porter Bryant, Jr, Moses C. Bryant; 4 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by sisters, Helen Bryant, Betty Forte; brothers, Thomas Bryant, and Charlie Bryant.
Services will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, June 16, 2018, at Hutchinson Memorial UAME Church, 825 E. Chestnut Street, Coatesville, PA. His viewing will begin at 8 AM.
Interment will be held privately.
