Richard Travis Winkey, "Wink”, 53, of Coatesville, PA, passed away Sunday, November 3, 2019, at the Brandywine Hospital in Caln.

A lifelong resident of Coatesville, Wink was born on November 17, 1965. He was the son of the late Richard and Margaret Brodie Hoggard Winkey.  He was the beloved husband of Jamia A. Raison Winkey with whom he shared 18 years.

After graduating in 1985 from Coatesville Area Senior High School, Wink attended Temple University in Philadelphia. Over the years, he worked for Devereux, Walmart and Concern-Professional Services for Children Youth and Families.

Wink was a talented sketch artist who enjoyed drawing lifelike works of super heroes.  He served in the community coaching basketball in several leagues including the Brandywine YMCA and Coaching Victory.

To say he enjoyed sports is an understatement. He could speak on all the details of various sports history, stats, news and technique. Wink was a beloved coach. He was funny, talkative and had a nickname for everyone.   Most of all he had great knowledge of the Bible. He passionately shared what he knew about the Lord Jesus Christ with everyone.
